Government Agencies (Compulsory)
- AVETMISS Reporting: Australian Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), Australian Bureau of Statistics — for national training data collection. This is a regulatory requirement and occurs without individual consent.
- ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) — our regulator may request student records during audits or investigations.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI) Scheme: The Student Identifiers Board verifies your USI. Your information is linked to your USI and retained in the USI Register.
Service Providers
- Email service provider — platform for enrolment confirmations and course communications
- Website host and CMS provider — infrastructure that runs our website
- Learning management systems — platforms where course content is hosted (if applicable)
Legal Obligations
- Law enforcement agencies if required by law or court order

AVETMISS Reporting: Student data disclosed to NCVER and DEWR under the AVETMISS framework may be shared with international educational bodies for comparative analysis. This is a condition of VET funding and occurs without individual consent.

After the retention period expires, we securely destroy or de-identify your personal information unless we are required to retain it by law.
10. Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme
10.1 What Is a Data Breach?
A data breach occurs if personal information is lost, stolen, or accessed without authorisation in a way that is likely to result in serious harm to an individual.
10.2 Our Breach Response
If a data breach is discovered, we will:
- Assess the breach — evaluate whether it is likely to result in serious harm
- Notify you — if you are affected and serious harm is likely, we will notify you without unreasonable delay
- Notification will include:

- What information was affected
- What steps you should take
- Our contact details
- Notify the OAIC — we will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if required
- Investigate and remediate — we will take steps to prevent recurrence
11. Your Privacy Rights
11.1 Right of Access (APP 12)

11.2 Right of Correction (APP 13)
If you believe information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date, you can request correction:

12. Unique Student Identifier (USI)
12.1 What Is the USI?
The Unique Student Identifier is a lifelong identifier assigned to each VET student in Australia under the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth). It is used to track your qualifications across different training providers.
12.2 USI Collection and Verification
When you enrol, we will:
- Ask you to provide your USI (if you have studied VET before) or apply for a new one
- Verify your USI through the USI Register
- Link your personal information to your USI for AVETMISS reporting
Your USI is verified using your name, date of birth, and document of proof of identity.

13. AVETMISS and NCVER Reporting
13.1 What Is AVETMISS?
AVETMISS is the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard. All RTOs are required to report student enrolment and completion data to the Australian Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
13.2 Information Disclosed to NCVER
When you complete your course, we will report to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER):
- Your name, date of birth, contact details
- Your USI
- Training product details (qualification code, units of competency)
- Outcomes (completion, competency, non-completion)
- Delivery mode and duration
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) information
13.3 Use of AVETMISS Data by NCVER
NCVER will:
- Use your information to compile statistics on VET student outcomes
- Share de-identified data with State and Federal governments
- Publish aggregate reports (no individual student names)
- Conduct research on VET provider performance
NCVER is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and does not disclose individual student information without consent.

14. Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment
If your course includes a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment:
- You will be assessed at enrolment on your language, literacy and numeracy skills
- Assessment results are kept confidential and used only to identify support needs
- Results are reported to NCVER as part of AVETMISS (de-identified)
- You will have the opportunity to access support services if needed
